TASK: Paint a mural to create a visual expression of the culture of Old Forge, NY.

SOLUTION: A 64-square-foot mural that captures the long-standing significance of the great outdoors to generations past, current, and future in the Adirondacks.
Inspiration
I discovered a postcard from the 1940s overlooking the Fulton Chain of Lakes from the top of Bald Mountain, which was the perfect, iconic image that I was looking for. Adding a modern graphic style and combining two typefaces, I was able to create a nostalgic image for the town name.
I was given a lot of assistance on the project from kids passing through the town with their families. It was incredible being able to interact with the community of Old Forge.
I am thankful for the support that I received from the community.
It was an honor to have the opportunity to paint my first-ever mural in such a special town.
